One of the Canada's second largest 3rd party logistics company is looking for an Equipment Control Administrator. The administrator will be responsible for

entering and coordinating trailers with the correct freight in the yard. This will include creating tracking spreadsheets and updating daily with deliveries, coordinating with shipping & receiving departments, customer service team and freight team to gather details on freight coming in and out. The ideal candidate comes with a shipping and receiving experience, ideally yard experience and strong communication skills working with 3+ departments. Data-entry accuracy is essential for the teams success. The work environment is extremely busy so someone who is self-sufficient and able to learn quickly will succeed. The company has recently implemented a new warehouse management system so the environment is constantly changing as new employees are trained on the new system, someone who is self-sufficient and able to learn quickly will succeed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE:

• 2+ years in an office position dealing with shipping & receiving coordination OR experience as a yard attendant

- Experience and comfortability working in a blue collared environment - (eg, transportation, manufacturing, HVAC, etc)

• ***Pass data-entry testing (85%+)

NICE TO HAVE:

• YARD experience
• Previous freight or trucking industry experience
• Knowledge of Truckmate warehouse management system

SOFT SKILLS:

• Someone who is comfortable in a blue collar/trucking environment
• Internal Aerotek level communication
• Someone who learns quickly
• Excellent attention to detail, mistakes in this role can be very financially costly
• Someone who shows initiative and can problem solve on their own
