We are looking for a heavy equipment operator at our Walker compost facility location in Arthur, ON.

The successful candidate will run a variety of heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, bulldozers, portable grinders, and screening equipment. Rotating through a variety of machines and duties means there’s lots to do and learn while working in a fast paced environment.

The best equipment operators are smart, keep themselves organized, respect the equipment while taking special care to do a good job. They are good teammates and don’t mind getting a bit dirty on an outdoor job.

Ideally, you have training or experience running heavy equipment. If you don’t, we offer training for people with great aptitude and attitude.

Shifts & Wages

We run three shifts:

  • Morning – Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Afternoons – Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Weekends – Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Starting wage for the position is $23.00/hour, graduating to $27.00/hour over the course of time, with hourly shift premiums for working the afternoon or weekend shift.
