Executive Assistant for a Dynamic Non-Profit Organization!

This is an amazing opportunity to work for the third largest employer in the City of Port Colborne. Community Living Port Colborne-Wainfleet (CLPCW) is a non-profit, multi-service organization providing inclusive supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and to their families including: service co-ordination, formalized planning, community connection, supported independent living, supported group living, respite, and advocacy for the people we support.

We are currently looking for an organized and detail orientated Executive Assistant to play an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and provide executive administrative support.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Liaise with the Board of Directions on behalf of the CEO including set up and co-ordination of all Board and committee meetings
  • Prepare meeting agendas and record meeting minutes for the leadership team
  • Prepare and draft correspondence and communications such as the monthly agency newsletter, information packages and minutes of a confidential nature
  • Research grant opportunities and funding sources; assist with grant writing and or provide support in the preparation and development of any grant proposals
  • Support in the development and establishment of partnerships with potential new key stakeholders
  • Coordinate special events; including marketing and fundraising initiatives
  • Coordinate social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • General management of the Agency website including content, design and trouble-shooting

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Two years post-secondary training including a recognized Administrative Professional or Business Administration Program or equivalent

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum five years related experience (preferably in a not for profit setting)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to problem solve
  • Excellent working knowledge of computers, software, and Windows operating system
  • Ability to take initiative and to work with minimal supervision with high level of attention to detail.
