We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Driller/Operator based out of the SOUTHERN ZONE (Brooks, AB). With placements on rigs locally and rigs working with camp/hotel accommodations.

The primary purpose of this role is to operate drilling and hoisting equipment, manage the rig floor and driller's console, and supervise all members of the crew while on duty.

This instrumental role involves:

• Overseeing all the well servicing rig processes and assist in training other crew
• Operating joystick controls
• Facilitating safety drills
• Performing regular equipment checks
• Ensuring all operations documentation is being completed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Thorough knowledge of drilling methods, techniques, and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to problem solve through a logical and analytical approach
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability work quickly and plan ahead
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, such as rain and extreme heat/cold
• Reliable with strong safety values
• Relevant functional and technical skills

Qualified Candidates Require:

• Valid H2S Alive Certification and First Aid Certification
• Enform Driller/Operator Competency preferred
• Other applicable safety tickets for Driller/Operator position
• Class 5 Driver's License with airbrakes endorsement is preferred
• Class 1, 3, 5Q Driver's License considered an asset
