Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As a Financial Services Data Management Director you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help Financial Services organizations with the implementation of Data Management Management and Governance capabilities to both meet regulatory requirements and help them achieve operational excellence.

  • Advice Financial Services clients with the latest thinking around technologies and process around Data Management and Governance

  • Leverage our alliances with technology providers to develop market leading solutions around data management.

  • Develop strong relationships and network with Chief Data Officers in Financial services organizations and be their go to person for matters related to Data Management.

  • Using your experience and knowledge to develop thought leadership around how Financial Services organizations can become better in managing their data and develop data trust

  • Using your knowledge of Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Purview, Talend and other data management tools to propose innovative data management solutions to our clients.

  • Ability to analyze data quality issues in Financial Services organizations and propose solutions to help our clients better manage their data quality.

  • Deliver client projects on time and within budget, utilizing tested Project Management methods, exceeding client expectations through outstanding team performance and stakeholder management

  • Work directly with clients to integrate People, Process and Technology (Data) components into meaningful, value added solutions

  • Build and maintain effective, trusting and collaborative client relationships at multiple levels

  • Collaborate with team members at various levels to lead and develop compelling client proposals, white paper, thought leadership and point of view, describing the business challenge and proposed business and technology solutions, scope, risks and dependencies

  • Contribute to building a strong and sustainable PwC culture through effective employee engagement, mentoring and coaching team members through timely, meaningful verbal and written feedback

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Significant experience in data management and governance. Have led data management efforts for large Financial Services organizations.

  • Prior work experience in Financial Services

  • Strong understanding of one or more business domains within Financial Services (Retail, Wealth, Commercial banking, Investment Banking and Insurance)

  • Hands on experience with various data domains including and not limited to Data Management, Data Strategy, Business Intelligence, Descriptive and Predictive Analytics

  • A proven track record of successful project leadership and a demonstrated ability to manage client communications and expectations

  • Exceptional data acumen and data analysis skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills

  • Proactive and logical approach to information gathering with an ability to synthesize complex ideas and present information clearly and effectively

  • Experience leading teams through the process of developing a vision, establishing direction and motivating team members

  • Passion for client service

  • Capable of building genuine relationships, rooted in trust with clients and teams

  • Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and changing conditions

  • Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

  • An ability to travel to client sites across Canada
