Who we want?

We are looking for a Fire Sprinklerfitter Apprentice to join our dynamic team. You will be tasked with the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. Along the way, you will have the support of a tight knit and experienced team who will help you grow and learn, while having the chance to share your knowledge and experience to help them all grow as well.

Job Description

- No experience necessary, entry level positions available to the right candidates.

- Eagerness to learn and grow.

- Acting as an ambassador of the IFP brand in all interactions with IFP employees, customers, and business partners.

- Installation, modification, maintenance and repair of water-based fire suppression systems.

- Timely and professional completion of safety documentation prior to leaving job site.

- Communicate with IFP staff regarding project status, system status and timely identification of any relevant information.

- Ability to work in a team environment to complete installations in a timely manner while ensuring code compliance.

- Able to cut, thread, groove steel piping.

- Able to join steel piping using grooved or threaded methods.

- Able to install/modify copper piping.

- Able to install/modify CPVC piping.

- Work with sales, design, engineering, & project management to complete projects within the contracted scope, to deliver a successful project for our customers.

- Able to recognize and communicate, change orders.

- Provide and maintain project as-built drawings, material lists, test sheets, and any other required contract documents.

- Successfully deliver IFP Contracting projects within budget.

- Gain working knowledge of NFPA and building code requirements.

- Able to perform upgrades, repairs, additions, or improvements to fire sprinkler systems.

- Able to complete deficiency repairs or modifications to fire sprinkler systems as directed.

- Be responsible for responding to service calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.

- Maintain safe working environment and adhere to company safety policy as directed.

- Mentorship and training of apprentices.

- Be willing to continue your development personally, professional, and technically.

- Work 8 hours per day (40 hours per week/Paid hourly). Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

- Ability to or already registered as a Sprinklerfitter Apprentice.

- Valid BC drivers license.

Compensation

Salary: $20.90 - 34.20
