Fleet Manager – Full Time Permanent

Nupqu Resource Limited Partnership (“Nupqu”) is a fast-growing business proudly owned by member communities of the Ktunaxa Nation since 2009, with offices in Cranbrook, Fernie, and Castlegar British Columbia. Nupqu conducts a wide variety of work: providing forestry, environmental and general labour related consulting services to several clients across industries throughout the Ktunaxa Traditional Territory. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, and responsible individual to join our team in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

This position is required immediately. The successful applicant will be responsible for the safety, maintenance, and assignment of fleet (trucks, snowmobiles, trailers, and UTVs) and environmental monitoring equipment within the Fernie office. This role will report to Human Resources Manager.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Supporting Project Managers by ensuring the availability of trucks, snowmobiles, UTVs, trailers, and field equipment for project work.

· Working closely with automotive service shops and suppliers to ensure fleet is serviced according to maintenance schedule.

· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date service records.

· Reviewing and approving invoices related to fleet and equipment.

· Performing routine fleet and equipment inspections to ensure cleanliness and functionality.

· Reviewing vehicle inspection forms and addressing deficiencies in a timely manner.

· Ensuring adequate supply of equipment inventories.

· Communicating truck and equipment assignments to field technicians.

Experience Preferred:

· Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook email and the Microsoft Teams platform.

· Familiarity with all aspects of office procedures, preparation of purchase orders, receipts of incoming.

· A post- secondary education in Business or other related academic field of study is preferred.

· Previous work experience (>2 years) in a related position.

· Understanding of vehicles, recreational equipment, and trailers is an asset.

This position also requires a Class 5 Drivers License and proof of clean driving abstract.
