Position Title: Flight Operations Assistant
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Status: Full Time
Start Date: Immediately

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, the Flight Operations Assistant provides administrative support to all areas of the Flight Ops department including maintaining and updating all Flight Operations manuals and documents and assisting with Crew Scheduling tasks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project manage current and future Flight Operations systems such as runway analysis, route, and aerodrome analysis, and supporting Flight Operations documents
  • Electronic Flight Bag administration
  • Administrative support to the Flight Operations department
  • Compass Library document management including amendments & authoring
  • Assisting Flight Operations personnel in developing and documenting policies and procedures
  • Organization, maintenance, and regular update of Flight Operations publications
  • Assisting with the formatting and editing of memos, bulletins, manual amendments, and distribution
  • Coordination with aircraft chart providers, aircraft performance, third party document services and subscription services
  • Flight Operations project analysis
  • Cockpit document management
  • Conduct aircraft inspections for Flight Operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Post-secondary education in related field considered an asset
  • Computer skills (MS Office) with emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and written
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with VMO, Great Plains, and Amelia considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous aviation experience considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel may be required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
