Food & Beverage Supervisor – Ottawa Titans
With the assistance of a contracted consultant, the Food & Beverage Supervisor will undertake all operations of the department to ensure guests, staff, and players all receive the utmost experience from the ballpark. To achieve this, the Supervisor must oversee the planning and execution of menus, programming, and maintenance of POS systems, hiring and training of staff, tracking and managing of purchases and inventory, and ensuring the department is efficient and accountable in all aspects. This is a full-time salaried position that includes other duties as assigned during the baseball offseason.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage all F&B staff, including day-to-day operations, creating schedules, processing payroll, etc.
  • Ensure the F&B operation is ready to operate efficiently for every game (hold pre-game meetings, monitor last minute pre-orders, prepare pre-orders, start day on POS system, monitor expected attendance and manage staff levels accordingly, etc.)
  • Handle guest relations; check messages and return calls as needed; read and respond to emails (comments, questions, concerns, complaints, website issues, preorders, concessionaires, staff, invoices, etc)
  • Assist in ordering products and restocking supplies as needed throughout the pre-season and season
  • Oversee the inventory counting process and process all necessary related paperwork as required by the accounting department
  • Ensure all closing duties are completed at end of game and end of homestand, including balancing suite and concession tills, reconciling all cashouts from the homestand, calculate and prepare tipouts, etc.
  • Coordinate with licensed concessionaires to keep them up to date with relevant information related to the season and gameday
  • Meet with F&B reps to update wine, spirit, beer, drink, and food choices to update and enhance the suite and concession menus
  • Contact returning F&B staff; hire and train new staff
  • Run reports and calculate stats to ensure operations are within prescribed budgets
  • Ensure all end-of-season and post-season tasks related to tear down and clean up are executed
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous food & beverage experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading a team or staff preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Understanding of the sports and entertainment industry
