Senior Food and Beverage Supervisor – Swaneset Bay

We are seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills and restaurant service experience who wants to build a career in Restaurant Management. This is a great opportunity to gain supervisory and restaurant manager experience. This role is an operations position and will include serving tables. The successful Food and Beverage Supervisor is a positive, high energy, hardworking, team player with a natural ability toward guest service.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will ensure excellent service is productively provided by engaged employees in all outlets to include the West Coast Grill, Member’s Lounge, Crossroads & beverage carts at all times. Key focus will include training, floor supervision, standards, following up with assigned tasks and maintaining controls.

Responsibilities:

- Ensuring Guest satisfaction is met and exceeded.

- Motivation of employees to provide excellence in service, developing strong channels of communication and fostering team spirit.

- Assist with product knowledge training and finding new and unique ideas on training on such products to increase sales and maximize up sell opportunities.

- Several types of service involved including buffet setup and tear down, tours, golf groups and private individuals.

- Duties include opening and closing procedures.

- Serving tables with groups of varying sizes.

- High energy level, positive attitude, and an ability to work well in a team environment.

- Maintaining equipment and cleanliness of restaurant.

- Must be a team player i.e. able to function in other departments, as required.

Knowledge:

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and lead a team.

- Dedicated to providing the guest with a unique experience while consistently exceeding their expectations.

- Must have proven initiative and continually strive to make things better.

- A minimum of 2 years Food and Beverage service experience an asset.

- A general knowledge of Food, Wine, and Spirits.

- Knowledge of POS systems preferred.

- Must be highly Health & Safety conscious dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.

Physical Demands:

- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items when required, in addition may be required to stand on feet for long periods.

Working Conditions:

The variety of tasks and interruptions are high and it is expected that the Food & Beverage Supervisor will remain calm and polite at all times, be able to multi-task, show initiative, and accomplish results. The Food & Beverage Supervisor must have a flexible schedule and be willing to sometimes work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and longer hours to accommodate event schedules or busier periods for the operation. Availability for weekends is essential for this position.

Compensation: Competitive wage and gratuity. Staff Meal. Golf privileges.

Position start date is flexible for the right candidate.
