Part Time Food Services Aide

Homeland Housing offers a variety of housing and care options, including independent seniors’ apartments, supportive living, affordable housing for seniors, community affordable housing, and designated supportive living 3 and 4. We serve nine Alberta communities – Westlock, Legal, St. Albert, Morinville, Clyde, Jarvie, Bon Accord, Redwater, and Gibbons

Homeland Housing is looking for someone that can be available for day (6:30 am to 3:00 pm) shifts and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for our seniors.

Skills required:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

· Demonstrate initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Willingness to work alone and perform cooking, baking and kitchen duties;

· Work and interact positively with seniors and fellow employees.

Typical job duties include:

· Setting tables and clearing tables

· Serving food and beverages

· Cleaning the dining room floors, tables and chairs

· Restocking supplies

· Dishwashing

· Minor food preparation and portioning food

· Cleaning the kitchen and kitchen equipment

This position offers:

· Wage rate is $19.43 to $20.93 per hour

· Primarily Days (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

· Average of 16 hours every two weeks

· Every Second Weekend ( Saturday and Sunday)

· Weekend shift premiums

· Group RRSP

· Vacation and statutory holiday pay on each cheque
