Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you’ll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and help where needed. The Food Service Supervisor as a member of the Food Service Department team will assist to direct and oversee food production and patient/ resident services. The Food Service supervisor will ensure staff are complying with the standards established by Aramark Senior Living, Ministries and client. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and employees.

This is a part-time role, 3 days/week. (22.5 hours)


Job Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Senior Living and Ministries standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, and completing assessments/ audits and necessary action plans to provide optimal nutrition care and meal service to patients/residents.
    • Drives patient/resident satisfaction and maintains client relationships through rounding. Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
    • Supervises, staffs, trains, conducts applicable rounding and manages the performance of the front line staff regarding food presentation and quality of service.
    • Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of the patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient population
    • Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients' protected health information.
    • Manages and controls resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply and cost control within budgetary guidelines.

    Qualifications

      • Associate's Degree or diploma/2-year food service, Food Service Management, Hospitality
      • A member of CSNM.
      • Advanced Food Service Certificate.
      • Requires minimum 3 years of retail/food service operations management experience working in a high-volume hospitality environment (i.e., hospital, long-term care home, etc.)
      • Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client and Aramark information.
      • Working knowledge of HACCP in a large volume facility
      • Ability to communicate (listening, verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff.
      • Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format
      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
      • Previous experience using the Sysco Food Service “Online ordering system”
      • Previous experience in Kronos Time Management System.
