HOME TOWN HEROES NEEDED for Long Term Care home -

Anyone with Customer Service Skills may apply - Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current. Police check, and 3x Vaccination, TB testing required

Duties include but not limited to: setting/clearing tables, plating meals for residents, preparing coffee/tea, snack cart; warewashing, garbage removal, sweeping/mopping.

Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.

Must be knowledge of the Long Term Care Act

Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets

Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.

Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.

Must be an effective team player that works well with others.

Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents.

Wage rate: As per Collective Agreement

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.56-$17.25 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Frequent heavy cleaning throughout the day for prevention. Staff and Visitors are screened upon entry and exit. Sanitizer, Face Masks and gloves provided as required.
Rapid Antigen Testing daily.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Manitoulin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
