Fort St. John Pharmacy and Wellness Centre is a busy practice located in the city of Fort St. John - the "Energetic City" - on mile 48 of the Alaska Highway. We require a full time pharmacist. Our team includes registered pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and nurses who provide medically focussed foot care as well as wound and ostomy consultation. We have team members trained to fit compression garments and we have the equipment and training to provide specialty compounding. Our staff have built close relationships with our patients, other healthcare professionals and various health facilities within and around the community. Fort St. John and surrounding area offer opportunities for hiking, downhill and x-country skiing, fishing, camping, and hunting. The community has a range of recreational and cultural facilities and associated clubs.

Responsibilities include: sharing dispensary and clinical pharmacy duties with pharmacist and registered technician. Perform medication reviews and follow-up in the pharmacy as well as in the community. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the community, as well as within the company.

Characteristics and Qualifications:

Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists in BC. Injection Certified.

Completion of CPBC Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program (2013) and/or BCPHA Opioid Agonist Treatment Compliance and Management Program for Pharmacy Training Program as per PPP-66 (can be acquired after hiring).

Aptitude to identify and visually professional practice opportunities. Leadership to grown the business and develop fellow members of the team.

Motivation and commitment to practice full scope in an evidence based approach.
