General Accountant Job at Express Employment Professionals
Our client a well-established logistics company, is looking for a DIRECT HIRE, PERMANENT General Accountant, to join their team!

Duties and Responsibilities:
✓ Ensure proper accounting of general ledger transactions and prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations
✓ Month end closing, reporting schedules and disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and year end review and audit processes.
✓ Maintain the prepaid and accrued expense account
✓ File for government remittances including HST, EHT and WSIB
✓ Process payroll for up to 100 employees on a bi weekly basis
Qualifications:
‣ 5+ years of experience in general accounting
‣ Well understand federal and provincial financial regulations
‣ Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures
‣ Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance and working towards CPA designation preferred
‣ Knowledge in Sage 100 and ADP WFN are preferred
‣ Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. netted if, V/HLookup,
PivotTable)
