POSITION TITLE: General Manual Machinist

LOCATION: Lethbridge, AB
POSITION SUMMARY

Borne Industries Ltd. is looking for an Experienced or Apprentice Machinists/Millwright to join our team. At Borne Industries we provide Custom Metal Fabrication, Plant & Food Processing turnaround, Plant Maintenance Services & mechanical installation, and Machine Shop Fabrication & Repairs services across Southern Alberta and into BC and SK.

Working Hours

· Full-time position. Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

· However, it is an expectation that all employees will contribute to the team effort by working overtime hours and/or weekend hours as required to suit the work being completed. Scheduled overtime is paid at time and half. When emergency call out work is required, employees will receive double overtime.

Required Machinist Skills

· General Manual Machining

· Good understanding of set-Up’s for – Lathes and Mills

· Working Knowledge of Tool Holders, Cutting Tools, Boring Bars, Fixtures, Inserts, and Other Machine Accessories and Components Including Precise Measuring Instruments.

· Repair Machine Tools and Parts

· Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings, 3D Models, Charts, and Tables

· Fit and assemble Components and Machine Parts to Close Tolerances

· Good working mechanical skill set

· Self-Motivated and Attention to Detail

· Class 5 Driver's license – Drivers abstract required.

· Diligent documentation and record keeping skills.

· Work with minimal supervision

· Positive, hardworking person with a passion to succeed
