The primary duties of the guest service representative are to assist guests with check-in & check-out processes, provide guests with local services information, and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner. The Guest Service Agent will ideally be a steward of the area, and able to promote local experiences to the guests based on their preferences and needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

Guest Check-in and out:
Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Ridge on the Chimney Core Values and and ability to perform duties such as check guests in and out in a courteous and pleasant manner. Most checkins will be self serve, but some may require support. Use the appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests. Provide information pertaining to available services and facilities near our location and on the island, points of interest and entertainment attractions, making reservations as needed.
Guest Services:
Offer assistance to the individual needs and requests of all guests. Ensure guest needs are responded to in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain guest confidentiality at all times. Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters.

Guest Reservations:
Use proper telephone and reservation etiquette including describing the location and the units, proper rate quotation and capturing reservations if needed, as much of this is maintained digitally through our booking platforms.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

  • In college or university studying or having completed a Hospitality and Tourism program
  • Experience in a luxury travel and tourism related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk during shift.

Communication Requirements:

  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Comprehend and perform basic mathematical operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
