POWER GENERATION TECHNICIAN/HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

PERMANENT - FULL TIME
LAKE COUNTRY, BC
BA POWER & MACHINERY requires the following:

Heavy Duty Equipment, Diesel engine and Generator Mechanic

★The following are preferred qualifications★

• Diesel engine; Cat, Cummins etc, Propane, natural gas
• Strong diagnostic trouble shooting skills
• Heavy Duty Equipment repairs
• Generator load testing and F.S.R certificate

The successful applicant will be responsible for repair, maintenance and testing of generators and related equipment

Salary and wages:

Commensurate on experience and references.
Salary: $67,000.00-$92,000.00 per year
+ Rewards for company growth

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift Monday - Friday
• Possible overtime/weekend/on call

Experience:

• Heavy Duty Mechanics: 3 years (preferred)
• Power Generation Technician (preferred)
• Residential, Commercial and Industrial experience

★Preference given to those with experience in repairs and testing of generators, Load Testing of gensets as well as those with FSR TICKET★

Essential applicant qualities:

• Have the ability to troubleshoot
• Have the ability to work independently, but also be able to lead and manage projects cooperatively, working alongside the electrician, machinist, welder and other employees in shop and on site
• Have the ability to take on responsibility with projects as well as follow instructions from other team members and team leaders
• Have a valid drivers license
• Punctual, and presentable
• Take pride in work completed
• Work efficiently and take direction
• Able to read drawings and complete calculations required
• Can interact well with customers
• Efficient and accurate paperwork, job tracking and filling out forms effectively
• Ability to commute/relocate (required)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman (preferred)
• Trade Certificate (preferred)

Salary: $67,000.00-$92,000.00 per year
