Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Snow Removal Job at LandTek
LandTek is an established landscaping and snow removal company based out of Bolton, ON seeking to hire a skilled mechanic to assist with maintenance and repair of equipment.
We have a fleet of Ford trucks (F150-F550), Kubota farm tractors and Caterpillar wheel loaders along with various other equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing trucks, equipment and machinery
- General maintenance and upkeep of fleet to ensure all machinery is in good working order
- Perform emergency repairs during snow removal operations on winter plowing equipment including Western blades
- Maintenance and cleanliness of shop including stocking tools, spare parts and fluids as required
- Troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to create work order and repair plan
- Communicate effectively with management to streamline operations and ensure clarities on priorities and tasks
- Update documents and permits for trucks including CVOR and annual safety
Requirements:
- Knowledge of equipment operation including wheel loaders, farm tractors, snow plows, excavators, skid steers etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and provide repair estimates / work plans
- Work in a safe environment and ensure shop is kept clean
- Update records and complete service reports
- Work independently without direct supervision and solve problems
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
