Heavy Equipment Operator Job at Ridgeline Mechanical Ltd.
Ridgeline Mechanical Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for ongoing projects in the Comox Valley, BC.
We are busy and have consistent, year round work available.
Total compensation is commensurate with experience and includes vacation pay, benefits, continuing education.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe manner. Heavy equipment may include crane trucks, hook lift trucks, bobcats, excavators (mini to 228) packers and other pieces of equipment. The Operator must be able to dig utility trenches safely, level and fine grade as well as load trucks. The Operator is responsible for maintaining and cleaning equipment as necessary.
Requirements:
· 1+ years’ position related experience.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints.
· Ability to operate required equipment in a safe manner.
· Previous civil experience an asset.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work as a team as well as with little supervision.
· Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public.
