The opportunity

The Montreal office is looking for a part time Host(ess)/Barista to provide reliable, quick and efficient support to the Conference Centre between the hours of 7:30 am to 1pm. The chosen candidate must be a team player and able to provide superior quality client service.

The goal is to achieve excellence in client service related to the conference centre by fostering a rewarding environment for both clients and staff.

What you will do

Coffee Preparation and Service:


  • Greet our employees and customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
  • Inform people by introducing and explaining the coffee menu and answering questions.
  • Prepare coffees following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffees such as espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.
  • Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, and coffee making equipment, as well as coffee bar supplies.
  • Keeps equipment functional by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to the organization's health standards and regulations.
  • Improve quality results by reviewing, evaluating and redesigning processes
  • Take inventory and order coffee
  • Clean and maintain the cafeteria (tables, refrigerators, microwave ovens, etc.)
  • Assist the conference center staff if needed
At times, business needs arise and employees are required, and agree, to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfil the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What you bring to the role

Skills and qualifications


  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Good ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks in a busy environment
  • Bilingual in French and English to communicate with clientele
  • Previous work experience as a barista is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Ability to contribute ideas to improve the service offering
  • Work weekdays only! Weekends off!
  • Daytime schedule only
  • Additional Barista training included
