Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in engineering
• Knowledge of Steel processing is an asset. (Eg. Heat treat, Hot forging)
• Knowledge of Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, MSA etc.)
• Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T, Customer specifications
• Thorough understanding of automotive quality requirements (IATF:16949).
• Experience working with Automotive assembly and/or manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Experience using statistical analysis for problem resolution and continuous improvement.
• Ability to travel

Position Overview:

Provide customer satisfaction by supporting overall program with primary responsibility for initial process development and product conformance, ongoing process improvements, and engineering changes.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Provide support for the launch of new programs.
• Work with internal resources to develop parameters for all processes.
• Work with Corporate Program Management to ensure on time delivery of goods and services based on master timing plan.
• Ensure new products conform to Customer Specifications. (Initial metallurgical analysis, Shot peen analysis etc.)
• Provide the necessary parts to meet validation requirements (DVP&R). (eg. Durability testing, Dimensional analysis).
• Communicate process information to the necessary parties to ensure proper documentation set up. (PCS, Infinity system, etc.)
• Source WIP and Finished Goods packaging as required.
• Establish and distribute Preliminary New Part announcements based on information contained in the OTP system and information collected from product development activities.
• Continue to support Quality Engineering activities as required.
• Work to improve cycle times and efficiencies on existing programs.
• Review OTP system and update the New Part # Log with accurate information.
• Participate in the Internal Audit Program
• Adhere to IATF:16949 principles including Advanced Product Quality Planning efforts and maintain documentation.
• Participate in AQP Gate reviews

Salary: $40,465.50-$117,411.88 per year
