TWD is currently seeking a Intermediate Process Engineer, to work out of our Burlington Office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support current process work for assigned projects
  • Generate process deliverables which includes (but not limited to): development of PFDs, P&IDs, line designation tables, data sheets and completing equipment sizing calculations
  • Develop process design for conceptual and feasibility studies, front-end process design and detailed engineering of capital projects
  • Apply sound engineering principles and procedures to meet quality and established performance standards
  • Execute all engineering activities according to applicable Codes, regulations, laws and standards
  • Provide technical support and expertise to contribute to the improvement of operations, maintenance, process safety and reliability programs
  • Provide input in the resolution of problems and bottlenecks
  • Participate in strategic technology assessments
  • Support operational and project goals for production, reliability and quality by identifying root causes and technical issues
  • Participate and/or facilitate PHA reviews
  • Develop and communicate detailed engineering reports and studies, and present them to clients and senior management
  • Liaise between project leads, clients and other necessary personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering Certification (P.Eng)
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in process engineering design (in an engineering, procurement and construction management environment)
  • An ability to apply sound engineering concepts to resolve operational issues
  • Strong experiences and knowledge with process simulations and associated tools
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of different safety design systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (must be willing to communicate with all levels of management)
  • Demonstrated experience meeting tight deadlines and managing time appropriately
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Knowledge of HYSYS is preferred
