Provide intervention for people with deafblindness in the community of Brantford.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide Intervention to Deafblind Individuals in their home and community environments

· Provide a level of Intervention that ensures the Deafblind person is successful in all aspects of daily living and life skills including personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning etc.

· Ensures documentation and records are completed

· Work as part of a team and provide input

What Are We Looking For?

  • A Post-Secondary Education in Intervenor Services, Developmental Services Worker, Social Services Worker or a related field
  • Experience supporting Deafblind Individuals an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of various communication techniques (sign language, picture cues) an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking ability
  • Valid Driver’s License Class G required
  • * Must be available to work flexible shifts – including days (7-3, 8-4), afternoon (11am-7pm, 1-9, 3-11), nights and weekends for all shifts*
  • Police check is required for all successful applicants as per Ministry Guidelines.
  • Must be returning to school in the fall
