Role Summary

MASSIV Automated Systems, an advanced technology-based division of Magna International Inc., specializes in the design and build of automated/robotic assembly lines for the automotive industry. Our areas of expertise include hemming (robotic and table top), laser welding, and assembly line welding. Our customers include other divisions within Magna and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as General Motors, Chrysler and Ford.

We are a true global supplier to the automotive industry! Our assembly lines provide a diverse range of automotive products such as doors, hoods, liftgates and underbody parts to customers in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Asia and Europe.


ISO/MAFACT Coordinator will develop and maintain all ISO 9001 policies and procedures working closely with appropriate Department Managers as required; create improvement plan including monthly implementation tracking for all MAFACT sections.

Key Responsibilities

ISO DUTIES
  • Develop and maintain all ISO 9001 policies and procedures working closely with appropriate Department Managers as required
  • Maintain the internal audit program
  • Lead the external audit program, which includes surveillance and recertification audits
  • Chair quality management review meetings
  • Liaise with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system
  • Maintain the non-conformance/corrective action register
  • Maintain the continual improvement register (Billy does this just now but probably best if it goes with the ISO Coordinator)
  • Maintain document control for all quality documents
  • Maintain the record keeping requirement register
  • Responsible for Quality Communications at monthly Employee Meetings
  • Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world-class quality products are supplied to our customers.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


MAFACT DUTIES

  • Create improvement plan including monthly implementation tracking for all MAFACT sections; prepare/ present MAFACT status at monthly a General Meeting: Score, Status CI Projects, Employee suggestions.
  • Work with different teams and assist in leading and tracking of Significant CI Projects; Problem Solving Training including A3 (PDCA, Identify/ support Top 3 Improvement Projects per Department of the division, 5Why Problem Solving Train division’s employees in Problem Solving.
  • Advanced process knowledge of core processes of the division; bi-weekly Gemba Walk by following the complete material flow; conduct minimum one KAIZEN workshop per month. Small but continuous improvement steps – everybody, everywhere and every day.
  • Create/ revisit Standardized Work for a high runner; identify and track significant improvement of performance related KPI via Standardized Work (SW). SW rollout in the division.
  • Initiate/ revisit Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) for a high runner, identify and track significant improvement via TPM. Rollout TPM.
  • Promote and introduce 5S as a culture – set the basics for Std. Work, TPM, Material Management and LPA - Introduce/ support sense of responsibility to maintain systems in the division.
  • Champion of Mafact 6.13 Sustainability Improvement questionnaire including all tasks- ensuring focus and achievement of target score
  • Create Value Stream Mapping (VSM)for the most important value streams in the division, create a VSM roadmap to cover all high-runners and consequently work on VSM Current-Future-PDCA; identify and track significant improvements via VSM.
  • Initiate “Train the Trainer” programs: provide training and coaching in the division for MAFACT & Lean principles.
  • Train all team-leaders at the division; create and follow training plan to train all shop-floor personnel.
  • Control MAFACT boards according to MAFACT Guideline.
  • Setup MAFACT Improvement Boards according to the MAFACT Assessment and results.
  • Implement/ support GQS 06 Daily Fast Response.
  • Enforce KPI management at all departments.
  • Manage the employee suggestion program.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of work-related experience
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement & Production Systems
  • Six Sigma
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Layered Process Audit (LPA)
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Standardized Work
  • Problem Solving
  • Understanding of Purchasing Systems
  • Experienced with ERP / Database systems
  • Experienced with organizing and managing web meetings (MS Teams)
  • Ability to maintain a log of meeting minutes.
  • ISO 9001 Awareness, Certified Mafact Assessor,
  • Knowledge of Mafact Simulation, 5S

  • Office and shop floor environment.
  • Overtime hours may be required as well as day/overnight/extended travel
