Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time IT Scrum Master to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The scrum master's responsibilities include ensuring that development team(s) follow scrum framework values and agile practices, setting and delivering timelines, motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.


To be successful as a scrum master, you should have a firm grasp of agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships. An outstanding scrum master should have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.


Primary Job Functions:

  • Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
  • Training, mentoring and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
  • Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
  • Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
  • Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the development team.
  • Coordinate with ABB and 777 Partners on the best use of in-house vs outsourced resources
  • Monitoring development progress and creating status reports of development work.
  • Assisting with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks.
  • Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication to gather requirements and build technical requirements from them.
  • Organize backlogged items so they are ready for development.
  • Assisting other IT teams as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
  • Certified scrum master, SAFe preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, demonstrate team-building skills, and model a customer-focused approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills working across all levels of the organization, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress, ever-changing work environment while managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks and assignments
  • Level-headedness, calmness, and the ability to think and respond appropriately in difficult situations
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Previous airline technology experience is an asset.
