Job Summary

The IT technician helps set up and maintain the computer system. He provides support to users in computer and telephone matters. He or she also collaborates in the prevention of virus intrusion, ensures optimal use of the network and guarantees the security of the company's data. This person is proactive, autonomous and resourceful. He or she contributes to maintaining a stable network and user satisfaction. The IT technician actively participates in the quality of service required by users and management. The IT technician proposes and researches new solutions, and coordinates his efforts with the Acuity IT team.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • User support and incident resolution
  • Prepares users' hardware and software configurations.
  • Provides level 1 and 2 computer support to users on site and remotely.
  • Documents customer requests, reported incidents and technical procedures via the ticketing system.
  • Provides technical support for audio-visual and IP telephony systems.
  • Provides solutions to technical problems encountered.
  • Performs all other related tasks that may assist in customer satisfaction.
  • Network/Computer Park Management
  • Assists the network administrator for various special projects.
  • Monitor system logs and performance indicators: daily reports, server status, monitoring, maintenance and updates.
  • Establish requirements, prepare orders and manage the receipt of materials
  • Administer inventory management and documentation.

Experience (minimum experience required)

Essentials

  • Degree in computer science
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position - IT Technician
  • French and English read, written and spoken
  • Mastery of Microsoft Windows and Office365 environments

Assets

  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Knowledge of MDM solution (Microsoft InTune)
