We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our Electronics Development team in Saskatoon, SK. This individual will develop innovative mobile applications for our agricultural products. This team's focus is to design software and electronics that will add value for our customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, debug and document C#, ASP.NetCore and Xamarin applications for our agriculture products
  • Improve the customer experience in the areas of design, performance, and usability
  • Participate in requirements gathering, program design, and feature implementation
  • Assist with GUI concept development of new products and projects
  • Work closely with firmware developer to integrate application with the electronic/hydraulic control systems
  • Ensure safe operation of systems
  • Communicate with dealers and customers for feedback and input on product
  • Communicate with other teams (purchasing, vendors, manufacturing, service, etc.) for new product integration
  • Occasional travel to main production facility in St. Brieux and to various test locations

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with applicable background
  • 1-2 years of experience in application development
  • Proficient C# coding skills, reactive programming and willingness to quickly learn our technology stack
  • Experience with Xamarin, MS Visual Studio, and Azure IoT is preferred
  • Understanding of UI applications and MVVM design patterns
  • Familiar with CI/CD best practices and configuration
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to independently develop software development plans, including timelines and test procedures
  • Familiar with agricultural control and displays
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think critically and analytically
  • Knowledge and passion for the agricultural industry
