A day in the life

Monday morning begins by check-in on the status of your open requisitions in the ATS and reviewing and rating the resumes you received during the weekend followed by the onboarding of two general laborers you hired last week. You then decide to make yourself a coffee and take the time to drink it while starting to schedule new interviews for the candidacies that came during the weekend. While you are booking candidates for phonescreens, you get notified of a new vacant role in the maintenance department, so you sit down with the Hiring Manager to chat about the role and ideal candidate. You end that call by making your recommendations and presenting your recruitment strategy. You then quickly make your way to your desk and publish the job to get the process started. Monday afternoon starts with a brainstorming session with your TA colleagues about finding out of the box, savvy and creative ways of advertising your new Plant Director position. You are excited to start sourcing passive candidates on LinkedIn, Indeed and tap into the employees’ network who are our greatest ambassadors; you love the challenge of filling strategic roles with the perfect unicorns! Your day ends with the best part of your job: The Operations Director gives you the go ahead to extend an offer to your Production Supervisor candidate, which he accepts on the spot!! You share your victory with your team and celebrate! It’s only Monday, you can’t wait to see what the rest of the week will bring.

Each day is different here, which makes work fun! Intrigued? Keep reading.
