Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required. Must be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. If the successful candidate is a CLXT, they must be enrolled in TRAM.

Preferred Qualifications:

Core lab experience within the last 3 years. Laboratory experience working with Ortho Chemistry Analyzer, ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex Hematology analyzer, XNL-550, ID-MTS Gel, and Clinitek Advantus. Meditech LIS experience an asset. St. Paul will implement EPIC LIS in Launch 7 (Nov 2023).
