Very busy landscaping company looking for experienced personnel in all areas; specifically lawn maintenance lead (zero turn mowers, etc..).

Requirements:

• Lifting, laying, and cutting sod, preparing sod base by raking, shoveling, wheelbarrowing in material, pulling lawn roller
• Watering lawns, trees, plants using water pump and water tanks etc. Lubricate, clean, and repair machinery (as advised), equipment and tools
• Clean and prepare sites to eliminate hazards
• Possible traffic control for traffic passing near, in or around sites
• Digging ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level material to specified grades using shovels, pickaxes, plate tampers, jumping jacks and rakes etc.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, braces, ramps and temporary structures
• Load and unload materials, equipment and tools and place them in appropriate areas according to direction
• Operate basic power tools (hand saws, grinders etc.) to perform given tasks by supervisor
• Operate basic hand tools (shovel, rakes, pickaxes etc.) to perform given tasks by supervisor
• Heavy lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Previous landscaping or gardening experience, including the ability to operate and maintain motorized landscaping equipment. (Prefered)
• Proven ability to work independently with indirect daily supervision and within a team-based department.
• Good time management skills.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be in good health, physically fit, able to walk extended distances and with no history of back problems – a medical may be required.
• Maintain certification in WHMIS.

Previous experience preferred, but training will be provided. A valid driver's license is an asset.

Salary dependent on experience.
