POSITION DETAILS:
POSITION: Accounting Clerk
START: Asap
SHIFT: 9am-5pm
100% in office
Job Description:
1. Depositing and recording trust deposits for a multitude of real estate transactions
2. Posting and notifying various parties immediately of NSF cheques
3. Processing cheque requisitions and wire transfers
4. Completing numerous bank reconciliations on a timely basis
5. Posting client disbursements to correct matter numbers
6. Issuing cheques to various vendors
7. Processing credit card payments
8. Assist with updating supporting schedules
9. Assisting with other administrative and clerical duties
Qualifications:
1. College diploma in accounting is an asset
2. Two to four years accounting experience at a law firm
3. Proficient in PCLaw and Microsoft office – Elite3E an asset
4. Extremely detailed oriented
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines
7. Good verbal and written communication skills
8. Must be able to multi task and prioritize
9. Liaise and interact with staff in a positive manner
10. Willing to work overtime when required
