Job Posting– Lead Delivery Driver D or DZ Classification

NOTE - Ideal Candidate will possess household moving experience

NOTE - Our various sized trucks are not air brake equipped so a G license will suffice (D or DZ is preferred)

Cortina Kitchens is looking for a Lead Delivery Driver (D or DZ Classification) to join our team! The ideal candidate has experience transporting goods/product across the GTA, preferable with household moving / wrapping / blanketing / strapping experience

This role consists of driving various sized vehicles during a given week (Panel vans, Cube Vans, 5 ton trucks)

The candidate will be required to pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. The ability to lead the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client. Activities are completed to meet established operating goals, standards, sales, and profits. To succeed as a Lead Delivery Driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying clients. Communicating professionally with clients at all times and accepting payments on behalf of the organization with be crucial to the success in this position. Day to day job duties must be in compliance with Cortina Kitchens standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Other duties may be assigned

Work Schedule: Must be available to work if required between 6am-8pm from Sunday-Saturday

Key Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Accepting payments for delivered items.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Startup inspections on vehicles and trailers.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Submit monthly activities, budget, and business reports.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• D or DZ License is a must be able to provide verifiable previous experience (3 years) for insurance purposes.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience transporting goods & products
• Minimum 3 years work experience operating trucks and trailers greater then 20 ft.
• 3 year clean abstract and insurable.
• Proven excellent customer service skills.

• Able to think strategically and apply excellent judgment & decision-making skills.
• Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail required.
• Meticulous records maintenance skills.
