We are looking to hire an experienced lead hand for framing houses and shops. Growing company looking to expand, family orientated. Younger crew with a fast paced energetic work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blue prints and engineered layouts. Laying out and ensuring the build goes as per the plan.

The Lead hand will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, Quality Management Documentation of each site everyday, completing certain scopes of work personally on any given day, material procurement, and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. The Lead Hand will also be expected to provide guidance and training to other members of the team, when and where applicable, as well as troubleshoot any issues that arise. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

• Rough Carpentry: framing
• Able to thrive in a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently or as part of a team.
• Self motivated with exceptional time management skills.
• Personable with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and train other team members.
• Communicate and collaborate with our clients and management team to effectively overcome issues and maintain project timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Complete pre/ post work quality management and safety forms
• Complete assigned tasks and monitor progress.
• Ensure that safety regulations are followed
• Use safe work practices while operating equipment and completing any expected tasks.
• Inspect safety equipment and tools regualarly prior to use.
• Troubleshoot any problems that arise in the production process.
• Procurement and scheduling of materials.
• Skidsteer and any other equipment operation experience is an asset

Requirements

• Framing/ carpentry experience is a requirement
• Valid class 5 with clean drivers abstract

Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
