Role and Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, BC, the Leasing & Marketing Director (the “Director”) is responsible for leasing strategy, driving leasing performance and ensuring portfolio leasing objectives are met for a portfolio of eight Okanagan retirement resorts. The Director works closely with Lifestyle Consultants at each of the eight resorts to develop and implement leasing plans, with the goal of maximizing occupancy and rental rates.

The Director is also responsible for portfolio marketing strategy and branding, and ensuring relevant, timely and accurate communication of the brand’s features and benefits. The Director has a leadership role in maintaining and improving the Regency brand and reputation in the local market, and will develop strategic alliances within the community in that regard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overseeing the leasing process with the goal of maintaining or improving upon the occupancy level of each resort.
  • Achieving or exceeding budgeted revenue, specifically via occupancy and rental rate management, including managing incentive strategies as necessary.
  • Assures competitive shops / market analysis are accurate and timely and conducts competitive shops. Makes recommendations and develops strategies for each resort’s market position, based on competitive analysis.
  • Guides and supports the development and implementation of leasing and marketing plans.
  • Monitors Lifestyle Consultant performance to ensure successful implementation of strategies and tactics. Provides Lifestyle Consultants with guidance and coaching to support leasing activity.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Minimum of five to seven years leasing/sales and leasing/sales management experience.
  • Combination of education or experience in the hospitality, rental apartment or senior retirement sectors is preferred, but not a pre-requisite.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, promoting and selling products or services to include marketing principles and methods for showing, and selling products.

Preferred Skills:

  • A passion for sales/leasing and for driving sales/leasing performance in challenging circumstances.
  • Capacity to strategize, plan and execute sales/leasing events that generate qualified leads.
  • Sales training and coaching skills.
  • Self-starter.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel within the Okanagan (between Vernon, Kelowna, and Penticton) a couple times each week is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $90,000.00 per year
