We are looking to hire a term Lending Advisor who has wide range of experience, enjoys being an integral part of a dynamic team, and is eager to empower women entrepreneurs to achieve their goals!

About the position:

Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Lending Advisor is responsible for all aspects of assisting clients during the lending process. The Lending Advisor oversees the loan portfolio and completes all required reporting functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, cashflow and business plan for loan assessments
  • Prepare loan review and recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk
  • Conduct loan documentation review and identification meetings with clients
  • Prepare lending documentation including disbursement sheet and route sheet
  • Develop and prepare spreadsheets to support analysis of new and existing credit applications
  • Perform searches (credit, property title, corporate, personal) and amortization simulation prior to loan analysis
  • Ensure that loan packages are properly filed with appropriate signatures, disclosures, and supporting documentation
  • Request and confirm information from other lenders, solicitors, bookkeepers, and accountant with client’s consent
  • Prepare and upload monthly Equifax report
  • Initiate and document mortgage interest registration
  • Carry out additional industry research for policies and regulation guiding client’s business operations
  • Prepare letters for clients (loan payout and demand notice)
  • Monitor collections, delinquent client and returned payments
  • Review and recommend loan restructure requests
  • Review and update lending procedures and policy
  • Update and complete audit loan schedule at year end
  • Monthly and year-end reporting
  • Perform annual review and risk rating of loan portfolio
  • Participate in strategic planning and internal operational committees to support WESK’s mission and mandate

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in small business lending and/or post-secondary education in business or related discipline with an emphasis in finance or accounting
  • Experience with reading, analyzing, and preparing financial reports
  • Ability to perform cash flow projections, interpret credit bureau reports and assess risk to determine business viability
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with clients
  • Effective computer skills (MS Office)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
