Job Description

Summary and Duties:

SBC Firemaster is inviting applications for an experienced loader operator to join to our growing team. The primary duties includes:

• Unloading logging trucks
• Sorting logs in the log yard according to a specified set up
• Yard clean up
• Loading logs onto the saw log decks
• Some forklift operation may be required to assist with other areas of the plant as needed

Working Conditions:

• Loader and forklift operation on uneven grounds
• Environment can be dirty, dusty and muddy depending on the time of year
• Use of PPE at all times
• Safety awareness and understanding of working around machines is an asset

Qualifications:

• Previous loader operation experience will be required
• Forklift ticket or experience will be considered an asset.
• Good communication skills and organizational skills is considered an asset
• Class 1 license will be considered an asset

Schedule:

Schedule is Monday to Thursday, 10hr days with a requirement to be available on some Fridays for clean up or preparation for the upcoming week.
