Working as part of our leadership team, the Refillery Supervisor performs all general operations, merchandising duties, customer facing and vendor responsibilities, team scheduling and on floor duty management required to successfully maintain day to day operations.

Key Accountabilities

The Refillery Supervisor is responsible for the following:

  • Ability to operate store point of sale system Square; use POS for inventory management, new sku creations, relevant reporting and online store updating.
  • Complete store daily open/close functions as key holder;
  • Manage order desk emails and customer communication for special orders.
  • Providing exceptional customer service;
  • Working with Leadership team to hire, onboard and train new team members.
  • Create schedules based on, budget, store flow and team availability; manage last minute scheduling changes.
  • Purchase products and maintain relationships with a selection of vendors; Fresh goods management.
  • Staff supervision - including breaks and task management
  • Inventory management
  • Contribute to product expansion and vendor vetting.
  • Assisting in refilling, restocking of all merchandise;
  • Educating and training on zero-waste best practices;
  • Responsible for keeping store clean and uncluttered;
  • Receive, check, and shelve merchandise orders; confirm purchase orders and manage the store’s inventory; and
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in retail or service industry management is an important asset;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer centric environment;
  • Experience with vendor and inventory management
  • Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities;
  • Must be a strong team player and leader.
  • Flexibility with regard to availabilities and work schedules (day, evening, week-end)
  • Competent computer skills

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and ethical behaviour to manage the company’s assets and engage with customers;
  • Basic math skills to count, add, subtract and convert in KG to 100gram etc; and
  • Excellent customer service skills that nurtures a strong relationship-educational environment.
  • Excellent leadership abilities that foster a team dynamic of openness, inclusivity, performance, respect and fun.

Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands

  • Normal retail store environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc;
  • Must be able to work independently with remote supervision;
  • Bending, lifting, reaching for and moving merchandise. Lifting up to at least 25 lbs.
  • Moving small display fixtures; and
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Computer work in the midst of retail environment (no separate office)
