Job Description


CEDA is currently hiring a Lube Technician for the town shop in Gregoire. This position is based in the shop with daily travel to various sites. The shift schedule is Monday to Thursday with 10 hour days creating an opportunity for great work-life balance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete daily FLHA for all activities and ensure personal compliance with all company, client, and legislated policies and procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Pressure & Vacuum fleet of highway trucks (hydrovacs, water trucks, vacuum trucks & steaming units), and skid mounted Cummins, CAT & John Deere diesel engines
  • Perform greasing, oil changes, and replace cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required
  • Complete equipment inspections, report repairs required, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance
  • Always maintain a professional, clean and organized work environment
  • Maintain inventory for the Lube Truck
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

  • Class 5 licence with air break endorsement required
  • Drivers abstract with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years is required
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a lube technician
  • Minimum 1 year oilsand site experience
  • Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

  • Mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, good communicator and able to work independently
  • Strong grasp of diesel engine maintenance and highway truck maintenance
  • Uncompromising commitment to health and safety, demonstrating safety at all times
  • Perform physically demanding work including moving, lifting, pulling and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
