We are currently have an opening for a fulltime hourly Maintenance position at our Lansdowne, NB packing shed location. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing site maintenance and ensuring a safe work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained properly
• Verbally communicate identified Emergency/Urgent repair problems accurately and efficiently to manager
• Foster a safe work environment and promote continuous improvement initiatives in regards to workplace safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment and buildings
• Willing and capable of doing some exterior physical labor in varying weather conditions as required
• Willing and capable to work at heights
• As a team member, step in to fill other positions in the packing shed as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect problems
• Document all maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance schedule
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supply as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• General equipment maintenance experience required
• Individuals with significant work experience in the fields of electrical, mechanical, or welding fabrication will be considered. Licensed trade certification is not required but certainly considered an asset.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift, loader tractor, bin piler would be an asset
• Able to work extended hours during busy season
• Possess a Strong Safety record.
• Must work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to safety lift/move 50 lbs.
