SUMMARY OF TASKS:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for all facility maintenance in relation to both operations and the refrigeration system.
RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform general refrigeration operator duties;
  • Focus on quality and customer satisfaction while complying with all policies and procedures of the Health and Safety and Food Safety program regulations
  • Perform all maintenance functions within the Plant, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment, pumps, motors, lights, etc.;
  • Preventative Maintenance;
  • Complete all required documentation;
  • Comply with GMP;
  • Comply with TSSA requirements and Operating Engineers act;
  • Other maintenance/duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Third Class Power Engineering or Class B refrigeration;
  • College/University degree in related field is an asset;
  • Electrical or mechanical certificate is an asset
  • Current knowledge in PMP, SOP, HACCP and GMP procedures;
  • Minimum Three years of operating and general plant maintenance experience in the food industry;
  • Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing environment, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, service and field operations of various auxiliary equipment – air compressors, hydraulic pumps, electrical equipment etc.;
  • HVAC knowledge and experience;
  • Power control, electrical and mechanical skills;
  • Familiar PLC, operation and troubleshooting;
  • Familiar with fire suppression and building security system;
  • Must be willing and able to work shift work;
  • Proven communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
