Job Description


The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates all activities and monitors that all maintenance work and tasks are completed in a safe, effective and efficient manner for the Anaerobic digester facility (ADF) and Dewatering facility (DWF). The Maintenance Supervisor has primary responsibility for training and assisting their team members in interpretation of procedures and production cycle status. The Maintenance Supervisor must be technically proficient in all areas of the plant. As Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent must be able to plan and organize workloads and resource requirements and supervise their area of responsibility so all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved. Serves as an advisor to the Operations Manager and other operational support groups. The incumbent has responsibility for personnel who perform On-Call and Safety Sensitive duties or responsibilities.


Qualifications
  • Inter-provincial Journeyman Trade Certificate (Millwright, Welder, Mechanic or other recognized trade).

Or:

  • Post secondary training in a related field such as Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Technician or Technologist Diploma.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ progressive maintenance experience in an industrial process plant environment, or combination of demonstrated experience, aptitude, and specific skills training
  • Preference for seven (7) to eight (8) years’ related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar computerized maintenance management system is a definite asset.

  • Maintains confidentiality to comply with all regulatory requirements and Company Privacy and Confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Understands, complies with, and is accountable for adherence to COR quality standards in all activities.
  • Safely operates company owned, leased, or rented vehicles and/or mobile equipment. Directly supervises working-level positions who perform Safety Sensitive duties and responsibilities.
  • Supervises assigned tasks/projects within scope of responsibility so all KPIs are achieved, including but not limited to safety, productivity, and product quality. KPIs will be measured on a weekly basis through audits, SAP reporting and financial reporting. KPIs include:

    • Overtime Compliance
      • Percentage overtime vs regular hours
    • Warehouse management

Assist with Monthly parts inventory and maintaining critical spare parts on site.

  • Conducts daily walk through of plant and documents/corrects any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Issues safe work/hot work/confined space permits.
  • Audits and documents safe work/lock out tag out/confined space/hot work permits.
  • Develops task hazard assessments and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the maintenance team.
  • Audits and documents work for quality and completeness. Assists in accurately completing all required documentation such as updating drawings and SAP data.
  • Compiles project/task information and assists in completing reports for the Operations Manager, including but not limited to progress reports, budget reports, and scheduling.
  • Orders supplies and equipment so team members have the material and tools required to complete their tasks effectively while being fiscally responsible.
  • Assists in the improvement and/or development of PM and PdM programs for new and existing equipment and systems.
