Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Open Learning & Career Development is seeking a part-time temporary Manager, Community Events to advance the Faculty’s community engagement and outreach. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning and implementing a hybrid celebratory event for graduating learners of the Faculty and will be involved in other event planning and sponsorship coordination for the Faculty. The contract position requires two to five years’ of experience in event planning and/or community outreach. The Manager should have initiative and drive, and should be action-oriented, in order to make things happen as needed for each event. Innovative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are also required, as well as strong communications skills (written and oral) and project management skills. The work of the Manager, Community Events will significantly help the faculty to engage with the local communities it serves, open the doors of the faculty to the communities and build awareness of the learning experiences the faculty offers.

Job Type: Casual

Salary: $50,991.00-$55,042.00 per year
