Manager – Strategy and Continuous Improvement (SCI)

LOCATION:

HOURS OF WORK:

Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

HOURLY RATE:

Minimum $35.09 to maximum $44.00 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience

Our professional team helps more than 11,000 individuals in North Bay, Nipissing, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Timmins, and Northern Ontario each year. We provide quality clinical, navigation and professional support in the areas of autism, behavioural, developmental, mental health, and rehabilitative services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working under the direct supervision of the Director of Corporate Services, the Manager of Strategy and Continuous Improvement (SCI) provides leadership, supervision, mentorship, training, and direction to the strategy and continuous improvement team. The SCI Manager handles stakeholder requests, sets priorities for the team, and ensures quality of work. The SCI Manager provides leadership, expertise, and project management skills to advance a collaborative culture of continuous quality improvement, evidence-informed planning, risk management, innovation, performance management, evaluation, excellence, data management, and strategic plan implementation/monitoring within the agency. The SCI
Manager is also responsible for ensuring the agency continues to achieve accreditation standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree within Business, Management, Health Administration, Health

Informatics, or equivalent fields

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising multi-functional teams preferred
  • Minimum Lean Green Belt certification, Black Belt preferred
  • Change management and/or project management certifications and/or significant experience
  • A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft 365 systems and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and PowerBI is required
  • High degree of data literacy to analyze, interpret, and communicate data to diverse audiences
  • Experience in project management, change management, and lean management in social service and/or health settings
  • Experience in the development and implementation of agency-wide strategies, monitoring systems, and operational plans
  • Experience in leading agencies through accreditation
  • Knowledge of child and youth mental health, autism and/or adult developmental services landscape an asset
  • Understanding of current and emerging theories, principles, strategies, frameworks, methods, applications, best practices, and techniques used in developing and building a culture of continuous quality improvement, evidence-informed planning, risk management, innovation, performance management, evaluation, excellence, data management, and strategic plan implementation/monitoring within a publicly funded/not- for-profit agency
  • Excellent professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide:

  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
