Who You Are:
We are looking for a passionate individual that will assist and execute the Canadian organization’s Wholesale, Retail, Brand and Media strategy with the goal of developing awareness and affinity, customer acquisition, retention as well as sales for our various channels of business. The role includes close collaboration with the Global head office in New York, for 360-marketing initiatives, brand partnerships, events and more. You demonstrate an exceptional can-do, ‘no task is too small’ attitude and are a genuine team player.
What You’ll Do:
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to create and execute engaging initiatives and programs that leverage our key Holiday selling periods as well as evergreen moments
  • Collaborate with the Canadian retail teams to understand objectives, KPI’s and
  • for marketing campaigns, programs and advertising activity aligns with business objectives
  • Assist in communication of in-store marketing initiatives through retail communications and in-store memos
  • Manage Gift-With-Purchase programming (including inventory management, annual GWP buy, store orders and event allocation and annual audit)
  • Assist in partnership with malls across Canada for inclusion in seasonal and yearly
  • activity (digital and print)
  • Responsible for briefing and submitting all artwork to the creative teams, project
  • all timelines, liaising with printers for quotes and final execution / shipping of materials to required parties
  • Responsible for briefing in any required translation requests for Marketing
  • Manage and hold the representation of the Michael Kors brand to best-in-class standards in any marketing material across Canada
  • Develop best in class relationships with outside brands and firms for events, partnerships, and joint incentives to support special holidays and seasonal
  • Ensure appropriate approvals from NY on all brand activity or events and partnerships
  • Monitor and report on competitor brand activity and alert the various teams on innovative industry news by creating overviews: identify, evaluate, recommend
  • Collaborate with the Canadian Brand Managers for Wholesale marketing needs to ensure seasonal materials are created and suit each partner
  • Assist in developing strategy for Co-op programs with Wholesale partners on a seasonal and annual basis
  • Brief and execute sales-and-brand events in support of Wholesale accounts
  • Partner with E-commerce, site merch, CRM, and merch teams to be educated on seasonal buy information to drive key products in Marketing activities
  • Coordinate our brand’s philanthropic efforts as they relate to our 360 calendars Canadian business
  • Manage and share a calendar of all marketing activity with the internal Canadian teams
  • Create branded internal and external presentations and recaps for internal stakeholders on an ad hoc basis
  • Assist with Retail Events and PR activities when needed
  • Assist Senior Manager with paid media advertising briefs, post-mortems, and campaigns to Internal teams
  • Assist Senior Manager to ensure local marketing budgets are being spent efficiently (responsible for monitoring spend of category budget lines and submitting all expenses in a timely fashion to allow for up-to-date financial analysis on a month and quarterly basis)
  • Partner with the local Planning and Finance teams to recap various initiatives with concrete KPI data from various sources
You'll Need To Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required (Preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a Fashion-related program)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, “self-starter” environment
  • Effective organizational, time-management and project management skills; create and maintain timelines; work and execute within deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in line with business objectives
We’d Love to See:
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Adobe Design Suite skills are a plus
