The Opportunity

Picton Mahoney Asset Management is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our in-house Marketing team on a contract basis (with possibility of extension). The Marketing Coordinator will ensure that there is smooth execution of all marketing programs across our owned and paid media channels in support of our hedge fund, mutual fund and liquid alternative fund solutions. In this dynamic role, you will support end-to end projects in development and production including organizing teams and accountabilities, trafficking creatives for stakeholder and compliance approval, and distributing final files internally to end users.


The Marketing Coordinator will be a strong collaborator with partners within the firm including brand and product marketing, compliance, digital production, the investment and sales teams, and external agencies. It is the Marketing Coordinator’s core responsibility to provide support to the marketing team members to ensure a smooth execution of all marketing programs. The opportunity requires the successful candidate to work in a flexible hybrid model (or with possibility of remote) out of our office in Toronto.


Responsibilities of the Role

  • Support all project management related to the retail and institutional business across all touchpoints including but not limited to content marketing, product and brand campaigns, digital, social media, events, and paid advertising.
  • Proactively work with members of the marketing and product teams and with other departments and external agencies to secure resources and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate and manage projects in partnership with various internal and external teams such as translation, legal/compliance, digital, and sales and distribution.
  • Traffic content to internal stakeholders and compliance to achieve approvals, maintain an orderly systematic digital asset archiving system for all production files for future retrieval.
  • Manages workload according to the established business priorities, timelines and marketing processes.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team to ensure all communications are within brand guidelines.
  • Supports, executes marketing initiatives and other duties as required.
  • Assist with quality assurance workflow and testing for digital communications (email and digital journeys).
  • Lead or support other writing/content development activities as required.

The Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A minimum of 3 years of marketing experience preferably within financial services.
  • Possess solid understanding of workflow related to financial services marketing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident self-starter with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
  • Highly organized, attentive to details, and goal-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, track projects and meet urgent deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms is required.
  • Experience with social media management platforms like Hootsuite is an asset.
  • Collaborative and enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work and support others, in-person and remotely.
