Role Overview

Eclipse Automation is seeking a Material Handler for a fulltime day-shift position for our HQ in Cambridge, ON.

Reporting to the Machine Shop supervisor, the Material handler will work indirectly with all departments. The incumbent will work directly with Shipping and Receiving as well as the Machine shop on a day to day basis to ensure that materials and equipment flow through the system while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

The Material Handler job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Business Equipment and Computer Applications: General office equipment, Database software, Inventory control software
  • Using pallet lifters, lift trucks and fork-lifts, hoists or winches, powered cranes, dollies and hand trucks, loaders when needed
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Manual inventory control, Computerized inventory control
  • Schedule distribution of goods
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • Pack goods to be shipped
  • Unpack goods received
  • Laser engrave, part mark and deburr
  • Prepare parts for plating or outside process
  • Requisition of raw materials
  • Operation of manual and automatic saw
  • Local deliveries of manufactured components
  • Material handling
Qualifications:
  • Completion of OSSD or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role preferably in an automation environment.
  • Fork Lift operator experience
  • Crane experience
  • Valid G Class Driver’s license
