Position: Materials Engineer

Reports to: Senior Product Designer

Salary range: $75-85K/yr (+benefits)

Location: Squamish, BC

Rotoliptic has an employment opportunity for a permanent, full-time Materials Engineer, beginning as soon as possible in Squamish, BC. We are looking for a strong candidate to join the group in our shop as part of a dynamic (and fun!) team. This is a key position in the team with the responsibility of guiding our efforts in advanced materials.

A bit of what the role looks like:

• Review product goals and make recommendations for the selection of materials based on design objectives, such as heat resistance, strength, durability, and cost
• Conduct materials tests, write reports and analyze results to make recommendations for what material combinations should move forward into the subscale program
• Analyze failure data from lab and field testing to better understand the causes of problems and come up with better and more innovative material solutions
