We are working with a manufacturing company that supplies components specifically for the aerospace industry and we are looking for an experienced and skilled Mechanical Assemblers for their growing warehouse.
The chosen candidate must be able to operate various machinery, hand tools and equipment needed within the work space. This is a permanent job. Our client is located in the south end of Ottawa (near the airport)

Shift: 7:30 – 3:30 PM – Monday to Friday

Rate: 20 – 24/hr

Location – Near the airport (Please note, NOT Bus Accessible)

Responsibilities
  • Setting up and using various Measuring tools and equipment
  • Assist machinist in operating machinery and equipment
  • Loading material into the machines
  • Inspection of all materials and parts
  • Use hand tools – such as saws, power drills and hammers
  • Assembly of parts and ensuring top quality standard per finish product
  • Polishing and deburring metal products and parts

Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to attain the first level of the Government security screening
  • Must be comfortable using hand tools and equipment
  • Must have experience working alongside machinery
  • Knowledge and comfort in using various measuring tools is a must
  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or fabrication facility is a definite must
  • Experience working in a warehouse and the ability to work a labour position is a must
