iScope Concussion & Pain Clinics is Canada’s only national specialty medical and rehabilitation centre housing a specialist-led multidisciplinary team who are ready to address all aspects of our patient's recovery. Our team includes sub-specialized physicians, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation professionals and technologists who are committed to advancing the care of concussion, pain, and neurological disorders. From testing and diagnosing to conducting treatment, we treat all physical, cognitive, emotional, and sleep-related symptoms under one roof.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills to join our team as an Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Assistant. The incumbent will work closely with our specialist physicians and other healthcare practitioners in coordinating and providing OT rehabilitation services to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Execute patient treatment plans assigned by Occupational Therapist and perform high quality customer service.
  • Accurately document all clinical notes while implementing active and passive programs.
  • Implement active rehabilitation programs designed by our physicians and physiotherapists
  • Conduct Initial and physical assessments
  • Conduct Patient Intake
  • Accurately document all patient notes while implementing active programs.
  • Collect and complete medical information for medical forms
  • Provide assistance to our Occupational Therapists

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with concussion rehabilitation preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with ICBC and WSBC
  • Strong Medical Terminology
  • Ability to motivate and inspire patients during treatment and/or consultations
  • University education with a Kinesiology degree is an asset
  • Registered Kinesiologists in good standing is preferred
  • Direct patient care experience
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills is a must
  • 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in kinesiology/physiotherapy/occupational therapy assistant role
  • Excellent knowledge of exercise prescription/supervision
